Church 101 Adult Bible Study

Are you hungry for more ‘God time’?  Do you miss the fellowship with other Christians?  Do you have questions about religion, church, the Bible, or what makes a Lutheran, a Lutheran?  Pastor Dan is hosting a weekly online format Bible study “Church 101” on Wednesdays at 7pm.  We will be using ZOOM as our meeting platform.  If you are interested in joining this weekly study, please email Pastor Dan.

Circles

Zion Lutheran Church offers three circles for women of Zion to join.  Small groups of ladies meet monthly for fellowship, Bible study and service.  Some activities of the various circles include cutting quilt squares, collection of food for missions, sewing baptismal napkins, helping families in need of financial aid, and praying.  Below are the three circles Zion offers.  If you are interested in joining one of the circles please contact the church office by phone 952.938.7661 or e-mail.

Loving Care Circle

As members of our Circle we encourage one another and others in need of encouragement and prayers.  We make donations to Resource West, Sojourners, and host the May birthday party and supply gifts to Chapel View.  We bring food for the food shelf and host some events for Christian Women’s Fellowship.

Morning Glory Circle

Members cut squares for quilts, bring food for the food shelf and assist in the organization of the Library.  We collect food given to ICA, donate needed items to Sojourners and participate in all Christian Women’s Fellowship activities.

Ruth Circle

Members contribute their time and talents towards cutting quilt squares, sewing tops and bottoms for quilt day, plus working on quilt day.  Hem and embroider designs on baptismal napkins.  In charge of activity play bags in “Children’s Room”.  Host the January birthday party at Chapel View.  Visit Golden Living Center twice a year.  Give financial support to a few causes.  Collect and deliver paper peace corp. donations.  Serve Sunday morning coffee twice a year.  Serve and participate in women’s activities.

Women’s Summer Bible Study

The Women’s Summer Bible Study is to help women grow in their love of God and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  A DVD Christian series or Christian book, with Scripture references for Bible Study, is used.  It meets on Monday nights in July and August for 7 weeks.  This is open to all women of Zion and the community. No nursery is provided. Please see the Weekly Newsletter for our current bible study.

LWML
