Holidays and Vacations
ZECC will generally be closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday following, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday. Regular tuition rates do apply. The center is also closed the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. This is considered a vacation week and parents are not required to pay for the non-holiday days during this time. After your child has been attending ZECC for a continuous 6 months, your child will be allowed up to two times the number of days per week enrolled to be used as “free days” annually. Free days can be used for vacation days and sick days. HOLIDAYS CANNOT BE USED AS FREE DAYS. You must give ZECC one week notice to use a free day for vacation. If your child is sick, please telephone ZECC by 9:00 AM that day to request a free day. Free days can be taken a week at a time or as individual days. Unused free days may not be carried into the next 12 month period, and a free day credit may never be used for a day that the child is in attendance.
If ZECC should need to be closed due to inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances, parents will be notified. Tuition remains the same for the week.
